I was born in Suffolk and have lived here most of my life. My family can trace its Suffolk roots to at least 1400, so I guess I can claim to be Suffolk born and bred. I have run a number of high tech software companies and I’m currently the CEO of an international consortium focussed on telecom software. I want to keep Suffolk special but not simply turn it into a museum – we need well paid local jobs, not perpetuate Suffolk as one of the worst paid counties in the country dotted. High tech industries offer that solution and I welcome the advancement of the Cambridge high tech corridor out to Suffolk.
I was one of the founders of Suffolk Together because I am tired of the state of politics in this country and particular the shambles often found at local government level where some unelected officials would rather not have to have the inconvenience of having to talk to the public that pay their wages and where many councillors are simply toothless.
